Died: February 16, 1886, at his home in Middletown, Connecticut.
Harrington graduated from Wesleyan University in 1852. From 1852 to 1855, he taught Latin at the New Hampshire Conference Seminary, Sanbornton Bridge, New Hampshire; from 1855 to 1860, he served as president of the seminary. From 1861 to 1863 he was a professor of Greek at Wesleyan University; from 1863 to his death, he was a a professor of Latin there.
